Safiyyah Choycha

Safiyyah is a British artist and designer based in Birmingham, UK. She paints the moments you wish you could press between the pages of a book to keep the light, the laughter, the stillness of it all intact. Preserving time, moments and feelings with in her paintings.

Safiyyah shares studies and quiet explorations, painted thoughts that trace the gentle dialogue between nature and the soul. These pieces are a way of pausing nature, letting the subtle speak, and honouring the in-between.

At home, Safiyyah loves collecting old treasures that tell their own stories. She lives with her husband and two young daughters, finding inspiration in the everyday moments that stay with us long after they pass.

Making moments stand still

Where art meets its timeless home

Timeless paintings, thoughtfully framed where art and history become one

Each of my oil paintings is created with the weight of time in mind—pieces that feel as though they have always existed, waiting to be found. To honour this, I carefully select frames that reflect the same sense of history and permanence.

Some are true antiques, carrying decades or even centuries of craftsmanship, while others are vintage or antique-style, chosen for their ability to complement and enhance the story within each painting. Regardless of the frame’s origin, the painting itself is always the heart of the piece—the reason it belongs in a collection, to be cherished and passed down.

A note from Safiyyah

CAPTIVATED BY THE THREADS BETWEEN NATURE AND the soul

“Each painting is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Nature has a way of anchoring us in the present while whispering echoes of the past, and through every brushstroke, I seek to capture that delicate balance.

My work is a tribute to fleeting beauty, to the quiet moments that linger in memory long after they’ve passed. Art has the power to transform a space, not just visually, but emotionally infusing it with warmth, meaning, and a sense of belonging.

With every piece, I hope to create a moment of stillness where time slows, emotions surface, and the soul finds something familiar yet profound.”
