ARTIST, MUM, TEACHER, AND PHOTOgrapher.
Oh and did I mention I am dyslexic?
I’ve been an artist for 7 years but in all honesty, I only really labelled myself as an artist when I sold my first painting. Just to give you some context, this was 4 years into my journey.
What was I doing for 4 years?
Dabbling, making excuses for reasons not to paint, struggling to find my artistic voice and letting my imposter take centre stage.
But something amazing happened in the year of 2020. I found myself excelling.
From having ‘blank page’ syndrome to complete flow state in just 90 days.
And from hobbyist to fully- fledged artist in just 1 year.
I’ve experienced the struggle of learning something new without any help, making TONS of expensive mistakes and wasting time with a lot of trial and error. Its been a hard and lonely journey but guess what?
I’m here to tell you, you REALLY don’t have to do this alone, and most of all waste your time and money on year’s worth of trial and error like I did!
